​The City of Homewood passed a Complete Streets ordinance approximately a year ago and is currently progressing towards implementation with the support of their Complete Streets Advisory Committee.  The committee has their second meeting this month, and is charged with overseeing evaluation metrics and reporting progress to Council.  As part of Homewood's support of active lifestyles, the Mayor is making an Active People, Healthy Nation proclamation on May 8, and the City is partnering with Commute Smart to promote Bike to Work Day as a way to increase awareness about designing streets to enable safe access for all users.
